BENGALURU- Menzies Aviation secures a 15-year ground handling license at Kempegowda International Airport (BLR), strengthening its India operations with new investments and expanded services.
The agreement includes a $9.2 million investment in equipment upgrades while creating large-scale employment opportunities to support growing passenger traffic.

Expansion of Ground Handling Services in Bengaluru
Menzies Aviation has received approval to provide ground handling services at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, under a 15-year license effective from 1 April 2026. Operations will begin once regulatory approvals are completed.
The company will operate across both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, delivering passenger services, ramp handling, and baggage operations. Airlines operating at the airport will benefit from integrated cargo and ground support services, improving operational coordination and turnaround efficiency.
Kempegowda International Airport currently handles over 43 million passengers annually and continues to record steady domestic and international traffic growth, making Bengaluru one of India’s fastest-growing aviation hubs.

Investment in Modern Ground Support Equipment
Menzies Aviation will invest over $9.2 million to modernize and standardize its ground support equipment at the airport. The upgrades aim to improve safety, operational efficiency, and service reliability across airport operations.
Modernized equipment also helps reduce operational delays and ensures standardized service delivery across airlines operating at the airport.
As part of the agreement, the company will launch a recruitment drive to support expanded operations. Around 1,000 employees are expected to join within the first three years.
This recruitment will add to the company’s existing cargo workforce of approximately 1,700 employees already operating at the Bengaluru airport facility.

Strategic Importance for Airport and Operator
Menzies Aviation leadership noted that securing a long-term presence at Bengaluru aligns with the region’s rapid aviation growth and strengthens its footprint across Asia.
Airport operator Bangalore International Airport Limited welcomed the partnership, highlighting Menzies Aviation’s experience managing operations at major global airports and its operational expertise in delivering reliable ground services.
