CHICAGO- American Airlines (AA) flight from Chicago O’Hare Airport (ORD) to Las Vegas Airport (LAS) made a U-turn after declaring an emergency amid multiple door warning light indications.
According to the flight schedule, American Airlines operates 4-5 daily flights between Chicago and Las Vegas.

According to FlightRadar24 data, American Airlines flight AA1047 took off from Chicago at 2:49 PM UTC.
Shortly after takeoff, the flight crew received a multiple door open or not closed properly amid a door warning light indication in the cockpit. Following this they declared an emergency at 3:34 PM UTC.
It landed safely back at Chicago O’Hare at around 3:50 PM UTC.
The flight was operated by Boeing 737-800, registered as N834NN. Further, it is a 14.7-year-old aircraft and is powered by CFM-56 engines.

The incident gained additional significance given its proximity to the recent Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 door plug incident. While United Airlines operates Boeing 737 MAX 9 jetliners, the diverted aircraft was an Airbus A319.
