LOS ANGELES- Delta Air Lines (DL) is expanding its most extensive winter schedule to the South Pacific by introducing a seasonal route from Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane (BNE), Australia, commencing on December 4, 2024.
Operating three times per week until March 28, 2025, these flights will connect travelers to the capital city of Queensland.
Delta Los Angeles to Brisbane
Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, expressed, “With the inclusion of Brisbane, Delta’s upcoming winter schedule will provide our customers with up to 17 weekly flights between the U.S. and Australia. This represents our most comprehensive schedule for the South Pacific to date. As we strengthen our presence in the region, we are confident that our customers will enjoy the consistently enhanced experience offered by Delta.”
Delta will serve two Australian cities, including Sydney, offering travelers ample opportunities to immerse themselves in the allure of Down Under. In Brisbane, Australia’s third-largest city, travelers can explore top-tier art galleries, scenic cycling trails, vibrant food markets, and visit the world’s largest koala sanctuary.
The city’s strategic location provides easy access to the Gold Coast, Noosa and options to venture north to experience the wonders of The Great Barrier Reef or westward for an immersive Outback adventure.
On the flip side, this route creates opportunities for more Australian travelers to immerse themselves in the glitzy allure of Hollywood in Los Angeles or leverage over 40 convenient one-stop connections to popular U.S. cities.
Whether it’s the breathtaking views in Seattle, the lively nightlife in Miami, or the iconic landmarks in New York City, many experiences await exploration.
South Pacific Expansion
Delta’s introduction of the LAX-to-Brisbane route is the latest in a series of investments the airline is making in the South Pacific region, solidifying its position as the leading global carrier at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
In winter 2022, Delta added a second frequency from LAX to Sydney, subsequently upgrading those flights to daily, granting customers access to Sydney through 14 flights per week.
The airline also initiated daily service from LAX to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2023 and introduced three times-weekly flights to Tahiti in December 2022.
Delta Sky Club
Delta’s cutting-edge Sky Way at LAX offers a seamless experience for travelers from arrival to departure. Terminal 3, an expansive 1.2-million-square-foot, 27-gate complex, transforms travel convenience with its centralized check-in lobby, expanded security checkpoint, and the acclaimed Delta Sky Club. This lounge, honored as North America’s Best Airline Lounge by Business Traveler USA in 2023, redefines the travel experience.
Delta One customers can access an exclusive check-in area featuring a private TSA screening lane and direct entry to the Delta Sky Club.
Eligible customers can also benefit from Delta Digital ID at LAX, enabling hands-free bag checks and security for TSA PreCheck members who opt in through the Fly Delta app.
Delta is set to elevate the West Coast travel experience even further with the anticipated opening of a premium lounge at LAX later this year.
