LONDON- British Airways (BA) landed its first flight in 13 years from London Heathrow (LHR) to Belgrade, Serbia at Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG).
As the aircraft taxied to stand, His Majesty’s Ambassador to Serbia, Edward Ferguson, along with a VIP delegation, warmly greeted customers as they disembarked. Serbian cabin crew members Iva Tasic, Emir Heco, and Daniel Zadorozni, representing HOMETOWN, operated the inaugural flight.
British Airways Serbia Flight
British Airways will operate flights three times a week between Heathrow (Terminal 5) and Belgrade. Departures are scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
A combination of A320 and A321 aircraft will serve the flights, providing return fares starting from 122 EUR/ 105 GBP or 1 EUR + 23,500 Avios, British Airways’ loyalty club currency.
During the 2-hour and 45-minute journey, passengers can indulge in British Airways’ signature product and service. Executive Club members can earn and redeem miles on their flights.
Additionally, all flights feature a Club Europe (business class) option, providing pre-flight lounge access where available, a full meal service with drinks from the bar, priority boarding, and extra baggage allowance.
Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Director of Network and Alliances, expressed excitement about strengthening connections between London and Central Europe, as well as returning to Serbia after more than a decade.
He highlighted Belgrade’s appeal to British travelers, emphasizing its rich history, vibrant nightlife, and scenic river views.
British Airways eagerly anticipates welcoming leisure and business travelers, as well as those visiting family and friends, on board.

Miodrag Mirković, Chief Customer Officer of Belgrade Airport, expressed his delight at British Airways’ return to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and the introducing of new connections to London.
He emphasized that the Belgrade to London route is among the airport’s most popular, extending a warm invitation to travelers from the UK to explore the offerings of the city and Serbia as a whole, whether for leisure or business purposes.
British Airways, a renowned global full-service airline, serves over 65 countries, boasting one of the world’s most extensive flight networks.

It’s worth noting that the airline had previously operated flights to Belgrade from 1957 to 2010, with intermittent breaks.
