NEW YORK- Delta Air Lines (DL) is strengthening the connection between the U.S. and Italy by reinstating its nonstop flights between New York-JFK and Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). These daily flights will utilize a Boeing 767-300 aircraft equipped with 216 seats.
In a notable expansion, the airline will introduce two flights from Venice to Atlanta for the first time. The nonstop service will resume later this month, and an additional service will be added throughout the summer.
Delta New York to Venice
Delta plans to operate 17 weekly flights between Venice and the U.S. during peak season, providing connections to over 200 cities across North America and beyond.
Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India, commented,
“This summer, Delta is offering customers an increased choice of flying between Venice and the U.S. with our New York service and enhanced Atlanta services, the world’s leading hub. As one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice is hugely popular with U.S. travelers, and our flights bring valuable tourism and trade opportunities to the City and the Region, as well as unrivaled opportunities for Venetians looking to explore destinations across the Americas.”
Camillo Bozzolo, Aviation Development Director of the SAVE Group, remarked,
“The resumption of Delta Air Lines connections to the hubs of New York and Atlanta confirms the consistent growth of traffic between Venice and North America. With over one million passengers in the last year, these volumes have significantly surpassed those of 2019.” He added, “The increase to 10 weekly frequencies on the Venice-Atlanta route will further broaden the range of destinations in connection with North, Central, and South America.”
