AMSTELVEEN- In a recent announcement, KLM Royal Dutch Airline (KL) revealed its robust summer schedule, encompassing a total of 155 destinations, with 92 in Europe and 63 spanning intercontinental routes.
The airline is set to augment its available seat capacity by approximately 7% compared to the summer of 2023, nearly aligning with pre-Covid levels. The summer schedule is scheduled to commence on March 31, 2024, and will run through October 26, 2024.
KLM Summer 2024 Flights
As part of this initiative, KLM plans to intensify flight frequencies to various intercontinental destinations. Notably, there will be an increase in flights to Jakarta in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and to Denpasar (DPS) paired with Singapore.
The airline has already reinstated direct flights to Osaka and will soon resume daily services to Tokyo Narita. Additionally, heightened flight frequencies are on the horizon for Taipei, Hong Kong, Montreal, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Remarkably, the capacity for North American destinations has already surpassed 2019 levels.
These strategic adjustments in flight frequencies form an integral aspect of KLM’s continuous efforts to align its network with prevailing market conditions, all while considering the availability of aircraft and manpower resources.
KLM to Reinstate Daily Service to Tel Aviv with Larnaca Stopover
Starting from Monday, April 1, KLM is set to resume daily service to Tel Aviv, incorporating a stopover at Larnaca until at least May 19. The decision to include a stopover is influenced by KLM’s vigilant monitoring of the security situation in Israel.
Across Europe, KLM is gearing up to amplify flight frequencies to several destinations in the upcoming summer. Notable increases include daily services to Billund (Denmark) and Stavanger (Norway) in Scandinavia. In Great Britain, flight frequencies will witness an uptick to Edinburgh, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Southampton.
Building on the successful winter operations, KLM will continue serving Marseille in the summer and extend daily services to Nice. The frequency boost extends to Poland, covering Krakow, Gdansk, and Wroclaw.
Additionally, KLM plans to enhance flight frequencies to Prague (Czech Republic) this summer. In Italy, there will be increased frequency to Bologna, Florence, and Genoa.
