DELHI- Tata-owned Indian full-service carrier Air India (AI) has taken a double delivery today (Feb 3, 2024), one of the second Airbus A350 and another A320neo. Both aircraft took off from Toulouse (TLS) and landed at Delhi International Airport (DEL) at similar time.
With this, the current fleet of airlines has reached 128 aircraft, including two A350 and 38 A320neo.

The Grugram-based carrier is expanding rapidly under the ownership of Tata, and they plan to take delivery of four more A350-900s this year.
The second Airbus A350, having registration VT-JRB, took off from Toulouse at around 8:33 PM UTC. After being airborne for 8 hours and 21 minutes and covering a distance of 6,784, the flight landed safely at Delhi at 4:54 AM UTC (10:24 IST).
While the newly leased A320neo took from TLS at 8:46 PM UTC and after 8 hours and 10 minutes, the flight landed at DEL at 4:56 AM UTC (10:26 AM IST).
Air India shared the news on X and wrote, “This is the highlight of our day! Watching our second A350-900 (VT-JRB) & eleventh A320neo (VT-RTV) arriving together in Delhi.”
The delivery of the A320neo will help Air India to strengthen its domestic operations. Further, it will help them launch new destinations in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Air India plans to deploy its A350-900s on new US destinations such as Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle.
Namaste World Sale
Air India yesterday launched the Namaste World Sale, a time-limited network-wide promotion featuring enticing discounted fares for both domestic and international destinations.
The booking window for this sale spans only four days, from February 2 to February 5, 2024, with travel valid from February 2 to September 30, 2024.
In the domestic sectors, inclusive one-way Economy class fares commence at a remarkably low Rs 1799, while one-way Business Class fares start at Rs 10,899.
For international sectors, the one-way all-inclusive Economy class fares begin at Rs 3899, and Return Economy class fares start at Rs 9600 for select destinations.
The availability of seats on sale is limited and follows a first-come, first-served basis. Customers stand to benefit from waived convenience fees when booking tickets through the Air India website and mobile app.
In addition to domestic cities, the discounted fares extend to the various destinations served by the airline, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, the Gulf & Middle East, Asia Pacific, and South Asia.
