ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) is set to enhance its fleet by incorporating 20 new Airbus A350-1000 widebody aircraft, a move aimed at modernizing and streamlining its operations.
This initiative not only contributes to improved fuel efficiency but also aims to provide passengers with an exceptional in-flight experience.
Delta Orders Airbus A350-1000
With the current operation of 28 A350-900s, Delta’s latest announcement signifies the addition of 36 next-gen A350 aircraft to its order book. This expansion is anticipated to bring the total A350 fleet to over 60 by the end of the decade.
Ed Bastian, Delta’s Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the significance of the A350-1000, emphasizing its role as the largest and most capable aircraft in Delta’s fleet. This strategic acquisition is viewed as a crucial step forward in Delta’s international expansion efforts.
