DUBLIN- Air Canada (AC) will begin its seasonal Dublin (DUB) to Vancouver (YVR) service more than a month earlier than originally planned in 2027.
The route will launch on 31 March 2027, instead of 2 May, giving travellers from Ireland earlier access to British Columbia for spring holidays, Easter travel and the end of the ski season.
Air Canada Brings Vancouver Service Forward
Air Canada has moved forward the start of its seasonal Dublin to Vancouver service for 2027, adding more flying opportunities during the spring travel period.
The first departure from Dublin is now scheduled for 31 March 2027, more than one month earlier than the previously planned 2 May launch.
The service will initially operate three times per week from 31 March through 2 May. From 3 May, Air Canada will increase the frequency to four flights per week, giving passengers more flexibility when planning trips between Ireland and Western Canada.
The earlier schedule strengthens connectivity between Dublin and Vancouver during a period when demand for leisure travel typically increases.
Earlier Access to British Columbia
The revised schedule will give Irish travellers an opportunity to reach British Columbia earlier in the year.
The timing also provides access to the region toward the end of the ski season. Ski resorts across British Columbia generally continue operating through mid to late April, depending on snow conditions and individual resort schedules.
The earlier launch can also benefit passengers planning spring breaks and Easter holidays, providing additional travel dates compared with the original May start.
Vancouver also serves as a gateway to British Columbia’s major cities, mountain destinations and coastal attractions, making the seasonal route relevant to both leisure and visiting-friends-and-relatives traffic.
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Operate the Route
Air Canada will operate the Dublin-Vancouver service using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The aircraft offers a three-cabin configuration with 298 seats:

The aircraft provides passengers with a range of cabin options on the long-haul route.

Family-Friendly Services for Passengers
Air Canada is also offering services aimed at families travelling on the route.
Families travelling with children aged 13 and under can benefit from the airline’s complimentary family seating.
The airline also provides complimentary kids’ packs for younger passengers. Families can additionally pre-book kids’ meals, giving parents another option for planning their children’s meals before departure.
These services are particularly relevant during the spring holiday period, when family travel can form an important part of seasonal demand.
Vancouver Provides Wider North American Connections
The Dublin-Vancouver service also offers connectivity beyond Vancouver.
Passengers arriving at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) can connect to Air Canada’s wider North American network. These connections provide access to destinations across Western Canada and the broader Pacific region.
For Irish travellers, this means Vancouver can function as more than an endpoint. The airport can serve as a connecting point for journeys to other Canadian destinations and selected markets across the Pacific.
The network also makes the seasonal service useful for travellers visiting British Columbia’s cities, mountains and coastline, as well as passengers continuing to destinations farther afield.
2027 Schedule Adds More Spring Travel Options
The decision to start the seasonal service on 31 March gives Air Canada a longer operating window for the Dublin-Vancouver route in 2027.
Operating three times weekly during the initial period and four times weekly from 3 May allows the airline to increase capacity as the season progresses.
The revised schedule should give travellers more options when arranging spring holidays, Easter trips, ski-season visits and journeys across Western Canada.
