MADHYA PRADESH- Star Air (S5), a prominent regional airline in India, is poised to achieve remarkable growth as it secures 40 new routes under the prestigious “UDAN 5” scheme.
Dedicated to bridging the gap in connectivity for underserved and unserved areas across the nation, Star Air intends to commence these routes and substantially expand its operations.
The airline aims to offer millions of travelers convenient and accessible air travel choices, elevating its services to new heights.
Star Air New Routes
In pursuit of the Government of India’s UDAN scheme, which aims to enhance the affordability and accessibility of air travel for all citizens while promoting regional connectivity, Star Air has played a vital role in improving air travel accessibility across multiple states in India.
As a part of its expansion efforts, Star Air takes pride in introducing 7-8 new stations, which will further strengthen its presence in the regional aviation sector.
These strategic hubs will facilitate seamless connections, reducing travel time for passengers to and from these regions.
Notable new routes include Nanded to Hindon, Hindon to Adampur, and several others, to be announced in due course. Star Air is confident that these additional routes will unlock new opportunities for trade, tourism, and economic growth in the respective regions.

India’s leading regional carrier recently added the two high-intensity, no-middle-seats Embraer E175s.
S5 2nd Embraer E175 First Flight
The airline took delivery of the 2nd Embraer E175 in March 2023. Further, The S9 has recently completed its proving flights and is more ready than ever to welcome you onboard.
According to Source, the Belgaum-based carrier will operate the first flight from Hyderabad (HYD) to Pune (PNQ).
Subsequently, this will be the first time that the airline will operate flights to PNQ. Further, Pune will be the 18th destination for Star Air.
The S5s 2nd Embraer E175 has the registration VT-GSJ and is three-year-old aircraft. According to planespotters.net, the VT-GSJ was operated by the flag carrier of Belarus, Belavia (B2), since 2020.
Similar to the first S5 E175 VT-GSI, the VT-GSJ is owned by Denmark-based Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC). It is provided on lease to Star Air.
