MONTREAL- Air Canada (AC) has unveiled a series of fresh features to enhance passengers’ comfort and convenience during their onboard travel.
The latest upgrades include a wider selection of in-flight food and beverage options, family-friendly entertainment from Mattel, and improvements to the Air Canada App.
Air Canada New Meals Options
In response to diverse passenger needs, Air Canada is expanding its menu items with some exciting additions.
Notably, the airline is introducing Earth’s Own oat milk, a Canadian non-dairy milk alternative—the first of its kind among Canadian airlines.
Popular beverage choices like Blue Moon Belgian White and Hop Valley IPA craft beers and Vizzy Strawberry Orange Mimosa Hard Seltzer will now be available.
Air Canada Signature Class passengers on international flights can savor Rosé from Provence, France, and Aperol Spritz.
Furthermore, Premium Economy and Economy customers on select flights can now access delectable new menu options, including butter chicken with rice pilaf and cauliflower peas masala.
New Family Entertainment
Air Canada recently earned the prestigious title of the Most Family Friendly Airline for 2023 by Skytrax.
To further enhance the family travel experience, the airline has partnered extensively with Mattel, making it the sole Canadian airline to offer popular kids’ shorts for in-flight entertainment.
The collaboration will include beloved shows like Hot Wheels in the City, Thomas, and Friends: Learning with Thomas, and episodes of Barbie’s vlog. The addition of these favorites promises to keep children entertained throughout their journey.
Improved Air Canada App Features
Air Canada continues to invest in its digital infrastructure, providing customers with enhanced travel information and services through its user-friendly app.
The latest upgrades allow travelers to access mobile boarding passes with seamless updates, conveniently link passport details for Aeroplan members during international check-ins, and navigate key Air Canada and Star Alliance airports with integrated maps.
Moreover, Air Canada Signature Class and Premium Economy customers can now pre-order in-flight meals on select international flights departing from Canada, adding an extra layer of convenience to their travel experience.
These new product improvements are part of Air Canada’s ongoing ‘More to Travel’ initiative. Since the spring, the airline has been consistently rolling out upgrades across various travel aspects.
This includes ways to stay connected, lounge improvements, and exciting partnerships. For instance, a collaboration with Bell introduced free onboard Wi-Fi texting for Aeroplan members, ensuring seamless connectivity during flights.
Expanding Lounge Network
Air Canada has also recently expanded its premium airport lounges with the addition of three new locations, bringing the total count to 29 worldwide.
The new Maple Leaf Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), the Aspire | Air Canada Café at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), and the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) Terminal A co-located within the new United Club, are set to provide an elevated travel experience to customers.
Jacqueline Harkness, Managing Director of Products and Services at Air Canada, expressed the airline’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
She stated, “At Air Canada, we know that a comfortable and enjoyable onboard experience is an important part of our customers’ travel journey.
‘We’re pleased to offer more food and beverage options across a variety of tastes and preferences as we continue improving Air Canada’s overall onboard experience,” added Harkness
