Ultra Long Hual Airbus A350
The Airbus A350 is an advanced twin-engine jet airliner with long-range capabilities and a wide-body design. Airbus developed and manufactured it as a response to Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner.
Initially, Airbus proposed a modified version of the A330, featuring composite wings and new engines, in 2004. However, due to insufficient market support, Airbus opted for a completely new design called the “XWB” (eXtra Wide Body) in 2006. Further, the A350 is equipped with two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbofan engines.
The inaugural flight of the A350 prototype took place on 14 June 2013 in Toulouse, France. It successfully obtained type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in September 2014.
Further, it is followed by certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) two months later. The A350 stands out for its innovative features and impressive performance, making it a leading choice for long-haul flights.
