On the last day of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), Emirates (EK) has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority and Zambia Tourism in order to increase the number of tourists visiting both countries.
Emirates has announced its support for Bahrain’s new four-year tourism strategy (2022-2026). Which aims to attract 14.1 million tourists to the country by 2026.
With 21 weekly flights on its Boeing 777, Emirates will continue to provide convenient schedules for travelers looking to connect to Bahrain through Dubai.

Emirates Collaborates with Bahrain Tourism Authority
Emirates and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to increase Bahrain’s appeal in key markets such as Japan, Korea, Spain, Hungary, and Poland. Further to promote it as a short weekend getaway with exciting attractions for travelers from Israel and the UAE.
The MoU was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer and HE Fatima Bint Jaffer Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, in the presence of Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Divisional Senior Vice President, International Affairs for Emirates, Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Central Asia and Reema al Marzooqi, Emirates’ Area Manager for Bahrain.

Collaboration with Zambia
Emirates and Zambia Tourism Authority have signed a MoU to collaborate on initiatives to increase visitor arrivals to Zambia.
The partnership aims to leverage Emirates’ extensive global network of 140 destinations to promote experiences in Zambia. Further increase the destination’s visibility.
Emirates began operating in Zambia in 2012 and now offers a daily service with seven weekly flights. Through joint advertising and marketing campaigns, the two parties will seek to drive inbound tourism to Zambia.
The MoU was signed by Badr Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Africa, and Matongo Matamwandi, Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Tourism Authority.
