Qantas is starting direct flights between Melbourne and Exmouth, saving Victorians three hours of travel time previously spent connecting through Perth.
The service is seasonal, and Qantas will run two return services per week using its Boeing 737 aircraft. Over 18,000 seats will be available during the peak tourism season from now until October.

Qantas New Melbourne to Exmouth Flights
The direct flight from Melbourne to Exmouth takes off on Sunday and Thursday, reducing travel time by five hours. This will allow tourists from the eastern part of Australia to explore the stunning and isolated Ningaloo Reef area easily.
Qantas CEO, Andrew David, expects that the new service between Melbourne and Exmouth will attract more visitors and boost business growth in the Coral Coast region.
They anticipated the new route to be popular among Victorians looking for a short leisure break, given the appeal of the warm weather, coral reefs, and the chance to swim with whale sharks.

David also expressed pride in the addition of the new route to Qantas’ map. He credited the support of the Western Australia Government and Tourism Western Australia for making it possible.
The Tourism Minister and Deputy Premier of Western Australia, Roger Cook, expressed his excitement in welcoming more visitors to the Coral Coast.
According to Cook, the Ningaloo Reef provides one of the most astonishing marine adventures in the world, allowing tourists to enjoy snorkeling over magnificent coral gardens and encountering the iconic whale shark, majestic humpback whales, and manta rays.
With the new direct flight service, interstate and international visitors will easily access Exmouth. Furthermore, experiencing everything this stunning region has to offer, which Cook says will lead to strong tourism outcomes for the state.

Qantas has expanded its domestic network by adding Exmouth as a new destination, offering flights to 65 different locations within Australia. Residents of the Coral Coast region will benefit from improved domestic and international travel connections throughout the Qantas network.
The Western Australian Government has provided support for Qantas. Enabling the airline to offer a limited number of special one-way fares for $399. Which is lower than the usual lead-in fares that begin at $531.
