The airline will begin providing service to two well-known Florida locations from Worcester, Massachusetts. From Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) in Massachusetts, JetBlue, an additional York-based airline, has announced two additional flights.

The Massachusetts Port Authority in statement were both involved in the release. (Massport). Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida, will be the first destination on the initial route from Worcester, Massachusetts, which will begin service this coming winter. Orlando Sanford International Airport (MCO) is the other location, and it will open this coming summer.
JetBlue’s CEO, Robin Hayes, talked about adding more routes.
“We are pleased to expand our nonstop Florida service from Worcester and offer even more options to link our Massachusetts clients to the destinations they wish to travel to.
JetBlue‘s affordable prices and distinguished service make it considerably simpler for customers to go back and forth to Florida, particularly with daily flights to Fort Myers during the Red Sox Spring Training.
JetBlue will now fly to three locations in Florida from Worcester Regional Airport thanks to these two new routes. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is the other destination in Florida. (FLL).
Customer demand at the Worcester Regional Airport has increased. This is probably because of the airport’s convenient location, refurbished terminals, and curbside pickup and drop-off services. In addition, The airport also only charges $7 per day for parking.
Three airlines fly out of Worcester Airport
These three airlines are JetBlue, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. Customers in the Worcester area have access to these three large airlines, giving them the option of flying directly to Florida airports or connecting through New York airports.

Lew Evangelidis, the sheriff of Worcester County and the head of the Massport Board of Directors, commented about the advantages of the Worcester Airport, saying,
“Massport’s investments in Worcester Regional Airport have maintained and strengthened the region’s strong economy. The fact that JetBlue is bringing back its Orlando route and adding a new service to Fort Myers is evidence of the region’s ongoing expansion and travel demand, and we are delighted to offer more options to those who are travelling.
The airline is restarting the Worcester–Orlando route that was discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The single service between these two cities will be handled by JetBlue. Beginning on June 15, a nonstop service will run daily flights all year long.
The flight will depart Orlando every day at 11:05 and arrive in Worcester at about 2:00. At 2:40 PM, Worcester will launch the return service, which will touch down in Orlando at roughly 5:45 PM.
JetBlue’s aspirations to take over as the primary low-cost carrier for Orlando are cemented with the restart of this service. By 2027, if JetBlue’s proposed acquisition of Spirit Airlines is authorized, the airline expects to operate more than 200 daily flights from Orlando International Airport.
In January 2024, the service between Worcester and Fort Myers will start. This JetBlue service will debut as a twice-weekly service and run exclusively in the winter. The airline will start providing daily flights as Red Sox Spring Training picks up in mid-February. This is in keeping with JetBlue’s status as the Boston Red Sox’s preferred airline.
When discussing how this route will strengthen the Red Sox partnership, JetBlue’s head of revenue and planning, Dave Clark, said,
“JetBlue is a committed supporter of Red Sox Nation, and we’re proud to expand our support for the team by giving fans more ways to travel to Fort Myers and cheer on the Sox throughout Spring Training.”
The 12:20 p.m. departure from Fort Myers and 3:20 p.m. arrival in Worcester are the times for the daily flight on this route. The return trip will leave Worcester at 4:00 and arrive in For Myers about 7:00.
