MUMBAI– April 11, 2023, Leading Middle East carrier Etihad Airways (EY) will operate daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Toronto. The airline announced today that it would increase flight frequency between the two cities.
The move came amid the recent partnership between Canada and UAE to improve air connectivity.
Starting May 30, Etihad Airways will increase its weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Toronto by one, making it a total of seven flights per week. The aim is to provide travellers with a daily connection in addition to the current six weekly flights.

Arik De, the Chief Revenue Officer at Etihad Airways, expressed his excitement for the airline’s upcoming daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Toronto.
He noted that this route had been one of their busiest in 2023. Furthermore, a strong recovery in travel demand between the UAE and Canada can help both countries.
According to Mr De, the new daily service will provide a convenient option for business and leisure travellers, the Canadian diaspora, and students from the UAE who are enrolled in Canadian universities.
He also expressed gratitude towards the government and civil aviation authorities for supporting the strengthening of air links between the two countries, which are crucial for tourism, trade, and bilateral relations.
