Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline, has unveiled a range of new features and improvements in the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
The carrier has showcased the upgraded interior of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft that will be integrated into the fleet in Q3 2023. This addition will supplement the 39 Dreamliners already in operation by Etihad.

Etihad Unveils New Boeing 787 Seats
Etihad Airways unveiled its new 787 Dreamliner cabin interior at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, featuring various enhancements to its already award-winning cabins.
The new Business class cabin, which will be available on the new Dreamliners set to join the fleet later this year, boasts the second iteration of the Business Studio that was introduced on the Airbus A350-1000 in 2021.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said that the latest Business class experience would take the guest experience to new heights.

Etihad 787 New Features
The cabin features a customized version of the Elements seat manufactured by Collins. Subsequently, Etihad became the first airline in the world to introduce this seat on the 787.
Each of the 32 Business seats provides direct aisle access and reclines to a fully lie-flat bed measuring 78 inches in length. Furthermore, the cabin is designed in a 1-2-1 configuration for privacy and comfort. Subsequently, with added privacy provided by a suite door and increased height from the A350’s debut model.
The seats are equipped with a 17.3-inch 4K TV screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, multiple charging ports, wireless charging, and plenty of storage.

Raising the Bar for the Economy
Etihad’s new 787 Dreamliner features 271 seats in Economy, lighter in weight than the previous models, making them more fuel-efficient. The design of the seats creates a feeling of more space and exceptional comfort, including a slimmer profile armrest. Guests can enjoy an extensive range of entertainment options on the 13.3” 4K touch-screen monitor, which also includes a convenient USB charging port.
With a stylish environment, both cabins offer guests the highest standards of comfort, whether they want to rest, work or enjoy the award-winning in-flight entertainment.

Etihad’s new Economy dining service is stylish and environmentally conscious, removing single-use plastic entirely. The dining equipment is designed to provide quality experiences for guests, is functional for the crew, and reduces the impact of the operation on the environment.
