Airbus announced on Monday that it has acquired an order from India for two advanced ACH160 helicopters.
The ACH160 Special configuration will be provided to the customer, who is a seasoned helicopter operator, for business use.
Airbus Corporate Helicopters will provide a turnkey solution to facilitate the seamless entrance into service of both helicopters under the conditions of the contract.
"We are happy to announce this landmark deal for two ACH160 helicopters for our Indian customer," stated Olivier Michalon, EVP - Global Business, Airbus Helicopters. We appreciate their foresight, and I am convinced that the arrival of this aircraft into service would set a new standard for helicopter operations in India, particularly for private aviation and premium charters."
“This new order, the first for any helicopter in the H160 family in India, confirms our commitment to the Indian market, where more than 120 Airbus helicopters are already operating,” Michalon added.
The ACH160 is the most recent addition to the ACH family and the world’s most technologically advanced helicopter, including 68 new Airbus patented technology.
It has 20% more passenger volume per passenger than previous generation medium twin helicopters and 35% wider windows than competitors, resulting in the brightest cabin in its class.
The innovative air conditioning technology in the ACH160 provides for exact temperature control and optimal cabin air quality, as well as extremely efficient air exchange.
