CHENNAI- Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) and Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) have entered into a contract for the production and provision of advanced composite assemblies intended for Boeing 737 MAX, 777X, and 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
TASL will be responsible for manufacturing these components using its advanced composite manufacturing facilities situated in Bengaluru and Nagpur.
Tata to Manufacture Composite Assembly for Boeing
This agreement strengthens TASL’s commitment to emerging as a premier supplier of composite technology in the worldwide aerospace markets.
The company emphasizes its dedication to delivering aerospace composite parts and assemblies of precision, high quality, and global competitiveness, leveraging its state-of-the-art facilities and well-established capabilities.
TASL is actively engaged in manufacturing various critical systems and components for some of Boeing’s most advanced products across its facilities in Nagpur, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
The recent contract supplements TASL’s ongoing production of advanced composite floor beams exclusively for Boeing’s 787 at its Nagpur facility.
In Telangana, the TASL-Boeing joint venture is involved in manufacturing fuselages for Apache helicopters and vertical fin structures for the 737 family.
Additionally, TASL’s manufacturing facility in Hyderabad has recently introduced a new production line for the 737 Fan Cowl assemblies, working in coordination with the Nagpur and Bengaluru facilities, as stated by the company.
