 London’s Air Ambulance Charity (LAAC) – the helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) for the UK’s capital – has ordered two Airbus H135 helicopters for the renewal of its fleet under a contract deal at the Farnborough International Airshow.

All cabin crew are trained in advanced first aid and aviation medicine and must complete yearly exams to show proficiency. Prior to flights, the cabin crew follows a briefing in which they must respond to questions not only on safety and emergency procedures but also on medical emergencies, to show that their knowledge is up-to-date and ready for any future eventuality.
