US Airlines News

Southwest Airlines has removed 17 routes from Denver, Las Vegas, Chicago Midway, Baltimore/Washington and Nashville between August 2025 and August 2026, including the long-running BWI to Jackson link that never came close to filling its seats. Over the same period, the carrier introduced 19 airport pairs, headlined by its first flights to Anchorage.

American Airlines has scaled back its 24-hour free refund policy, requiring tickets to be booked at least seven days before departure to qualify for a cash refund. The change removes the previous two-day threshold and brings the carrier in line with the federal minimum, leaving Delta as the most flexible major US airline in this area.
