ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) is expanding its presence at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with its largest-ever LAX schedule for summer 2027, adding new nonstop routes and more flights across major US markets.
Delta and its partners will offer more than 200 daily departures to nearly 70 destinations at the summer peak, alongside expanded lounges, upgraded airport facilities and enhanced premium services from Los Angeles.
Delta Expands Its 2027 Los Angeles Schedule
At the summer 2027 peak, Delta and its partners plan to operate more than 200 daily departures from LAX to nearly 70 destinations. The schedule expands both domestic and international connectivity while increasing flight frequencies on several major U.S. routes.
Delta says it will be the only carrier at LAX serving all of the airport’s top 10 markets with multiple daily flights.
The airline also says the combination of its network scale, premium capacity, airport investments and long-standing presence in Los Angeles will strengthen its position in the market.

New Nonstop Routes From LAX
Delta’s expanded schedule introduces new nonstop service to Monterey and Philadelphia while increasing frequencies on seven existing U.S. markets.
Los Angeles to Monterey
Delta Connection will begin twice-daily nonstop service between Los Angeles and Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) on December 19, 2026. The route will be operated with Embraer 175 aircraft.
The new service will provide easier access from Los Angeles to California’s Central Coast, including Carmel-by-the-Sea, the Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur. The launch is scheduled ahead of one of golf’s biggest championships the following summer.
On the same day, Delta will also begin daily nonstop service between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Monterey (MRY).
Los Angeles to Philadelphia
Daily nonstop service between Los Angeles and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is scheduled to begin June 7, 2027.
Delta will operate the route with an Airbus A321neo. The service will connect Southern California with Philadelphia’s historic attractions, culinary scene, arts and cultural offerings.
Higher Frequencies Across Major US Markets
Delta will increase service from LAX to seven additional domestic markets during 2027.

Amy Martin, Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning, said the airline is continuing to invest in more ways for customers to experience California.
She cited new Monterey service from both Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, along with continued growth at LAX, as part of Delta’s long-term commitment to Los Angeles and the West.
Seattle will reach 8 daily flights under the expanded schedule, while Boston and San Diego will each reach five daily flights.
Premium Experience From Curb to Cabin
Delta’s LAX expansion also includes investments in premium airport facilities and onboard services.
The airline says it offers more premium seats at LAX than any other airline and is continuing to improve the customer experience across the journey.
Expanded Airport Facilities
Delta’s $2.3 billion Sky Way at LAX transformed Terminals 2 and 3 into a connected airport campus designed to support the airline’s long-term growth in Los Angeles.
Delta continues to enhance wayfinding, security processing and terminal amenities to make airport journeys more convenient and efficient.
Delta One customers have access to a dedicated Delta One Check-In experience with private TSA security screening. The service provides a more personalized and streamlined start to the journey, and Delta One customers also have access to exclusive Delta One Lounges.
Larger Lounge Network
LAX became the first airport in Delta’s network to offer two Delta One Lounges.
Delta plans to open an additional 11,000-square-foot Delta Sky Club in Terminal 2 in 2027.
By 2028, Delta plans to have four dedicated lounge spaces at LAX: 2 Delta One Lounges and two Delta Sky Clubs across Terminals 2 and 3. Delta says the facilities will total more than 60,000 square feet and offer more than 1,000 seats.
With the planned Terminal 2 Sky Club opening, Delta says it will have nearly doubled its Delta One Lounge space at LAX.
Enhanced Onboard Premium Services
Delta’s premium offering extends to dining, beverages, aircraft configuration, connectivity and entertainment.
Beginning October 1, 2026, Delta One customers will receive a new wine portfolio featuring 13 selections from leading California and global winery partners.
Customers traveling in Domestic First Class will have access to chef-curated dishes from José Andrés.
Delta also offers premium cabins on its international flights from LAX. Its international network from Los Angeles is operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring 40 Delta One seats.
Delta One is also available on selected domestic routes from LAX, including Honolulu (HNL), Maui (OGG), Kona (KOA), New York-JFK (JFK), Boston (BOS) and Atlanta (ATL).
Wi-Fi and Inflight Entertainment
SkyMiles Members will receive fast, free Wi-Fi, including on flights from Los Angeles across the Pacific beginning in fall 2026.
Delta Sync entertainment and elevated onboard amenities will also be available as part of the airline’s broader customer experience offering.

International Growth From Los Angeles
Delta’s expanded LAX schedule builds on significant international growth across the South Pacific and Asia-Pacific markets.
Across the South Pacific, Delta connects Los Angeles with Sydney (SYD), Brisbane (BNE), Melbourne (MEL) and Auckland (AKL).
Melbourne service is scheduled to increase to daily for the peak period beginning December 22, while Auckland service is scheduled to return to daily beginning October 25.
Delta has expanded its international reach from LAX with new service to Hong Kong (HKG) and Shanghai (PVG), while also announcing service to Vancouver (YVR) and Manila (MNL).
Delta says it now offers service to 25 international destinations from LAX and provides one-stop access to more than 100 countries through Delta and its global partners.
Larger Florida Schedule
Delta is also expanding its Florida network from LAX.
The airline says it remains the largest carrier from LAX to Florida and will operate its largest-ever Florida schedule, with up to 13 daily departures and more than 2,500 peak-day seats.
The schedule includes new service to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) and additional flights to Tampa (TPA), Orlando (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
The expanded Florida service adds capacity to a group of major leisure and business markets while increasing the number of travel options available to Los Angeles passengers.
Expanded New York and Chicago Service
Delta is expanding its New York network from Los Angeles with new service to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
The airline says the Newark service builds on its position as the largest carrier between Los Angeles and New York City.
Delta is also adding new routes to Chicago, further expanding its domestic network from LAX and providing additional options for major business and leisure travel.
Southern California Airport Coverage
Delta’s presence in Southern California extends beyond Los Angeles International Airport.
The airline serves the region through John Wayne Airport in Orange County (SNA), Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Long Beach Airport (LGB).
Delta has also restored seasonal Delta One service between New York-JFK (JFK) and Orange County, expanding premium travel options within Southern California.
Delta’s Commitment to Los Angeles
Delta’s investment in Los Angeles extends beyond flights, airport facilities and premium products.
More than 4,500 Delta employees are based in the Los Angeles area, supporting the airline’s operations while contributing to the communities where they live and work.
Across Southern California, Delta partners with more than 25 organizations working in education, workforce development, hunger relief and sustainability.
The airline also supports recognizable Los Angeles sports teams, including the L.A. Lakers and L.A. Kings. Delta says its partnerships with small and diverse businesses create more than $700,000 in statewide economic impact.
Delta and 2028 Los Angeles Games
Delta’s connection to Los Angeles will become more significant as the city prepares to host the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Delta is an inaugural Founding Partner of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Official Airline of Team USA. The airline says the partnership supports Los Angeles on the Road to 2028.
What Expanded LAX Schedule Means
Delta’s summer 2027 LAX plan combines a larger flight schedule with new nonstop routes, additional frequencies, expanded international connectivity and continued investment in premium facilities.
The new Los Angeles-Monterey and Los Angeles-Philadelphia services add nonstop options, while higher frequencies to Raleigh-Durham, Boston, San Diego, Cincinnati, Houston, San Antonio and Seattle increase capacity across established markets.
The broader network also includes more Florida service, new Newark connectivity, additional Chicago routes and continued expansion across international markets.
At the airport, Delta is expanding its lounge network and premium facilities while continuing to improve terminal services. Onboard, the airline is adding upgraded wine, dining, connectivity and entertainment offerings.
Delta says it will maintain its position as Los Angeles’ largest global premium carrier in summer 2027, based on operating more flights, offering more seats and providing more premium seats from LAX than any other airline.
