LAS VEGAS- A disruptive passenger was removed from a British Airways (BA) Airbus A350-1000 before Flight BA275 departed London Heathrow Airport (LHR) for Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), following a confrontation with cabin crew and fellow passengers.
The passenger was escorted off the aircraft in handcuffs by police after repeatedly ignoring crew instructions. Despite the lengthy ground delay, the British Airways (BA) flight ultimately arrived in Las Vegas (LAS) just over two hours behind schedule.
British Airways Passenger Confronted at Las Vegas
A passenger traveling from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) was removed from a British Airways (BA) Airbus A350-1000 on Thursday (August 6, 2026) after a disturbance inside the aircraft before departure.
The incident was captured on video by British drum-and-bass DJ Bou, who was traveling to Las Vegas for a scheduled performance. Footage shared online shows the passenger standing in the aisle while arguing with cabin crew and attempting to move through other passengers.
A British Airways flight attendant repeatedly instructed the man to return to his seat. Several passengers also positioned themselves in the aisle, helping create a barrier to prevent him from moving further through the cabin.
According to the video, the crew member instructed the passenger to remain seated more than two dozen times as he continued refusing to comply.
After the passenger briefly returned to his seat, he stood up again and resumed the confrontation. At one stage, the flight attendant issued a clear warning that he would be restrained if he failed to follow instructions.
The video later cuts to the aircraft parked on the Heathrow ramp, where multiple police officers escorted the passenger off the aircraft with his hands cuffed behind his back, View from the Wing reported.

Flight BA275 Experienced More Than Three Hours of Departure Delay
The affected service was British Airways Flight BA275, operated by an Airbus A350-1000.
According to publicly available flight data, the aircraft departed London Heathrow Airport (LHR) at approximately 8:24 p.m., around 3 hours and 9 minutes behind its scheduled departure.
The flight subsequently landed at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at approximately 10:09 p.m. local time, arriving 2 hours and 9 minutes behind schedule.
Although the aircraft departed significantly late, part of the lost time was recovered during the transatlantic journey, reducing the overall arrival delay.
Social Media Videos Spark Online Debate
Following the video’s publication, social media users offered different opinions about what may have caused the incident.
Some commenters speculated that the passenger appeared intoxicated, while others suggested drugs or an underlying medical condition could have played a role. A number of users also claimed another passenger may have contributed to the confrontation after the individual initially returned to his seat.
However, no official statement has confirmed the cause of the passenger’s behavior, and authorities have not publicly released additional details regarding the incident.
UK261 Compensation Rules and Flight Delay
Despite the lengthy departure delay at Heathrow, the flight reached Las Vegas with an arrival delay of 2 hours and 9 minutes.
Under UK261 passenger compensation regulations, compensation for flight delays generally depends on the arrival delay, not the departure delay. Because Flight BA275 arrived less than three hours behind schedule, passengers would not normally qualify for delay compensation under UK261 based solely on the reported arrival time.
Any additional claims would depend on individual circumstances and the airline’s assessment of the disruption.
