NEW YORK– American Airlines (AA) has expanded its premium airport lounge offerings by opening a new Provisions by Admirals Club at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), introducing the airline’s first-ever dedicated barista coffee concept.
The new facility builds on the grab-and-go lounge model first introduced at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in 2025, while adding several new premium features.
Located in Terminal 8’s Concourse B, the 3,700-square-foot lounge is designed for travelers with limited connection times who want quick access to fresh food and beverages without spending extended periods in a traditional lounge.
The latest addition also addresses a long-standing gap for Admirals Club members traveling through Concourse B.

American Airlines First Barista Lounge
The new Provisions by Admirals Club is situated between Gates 12 and 14 in Terminal 8. American said the space emphasizes speed, convenience, and flexibility while maintaining a premium lounge experience.
Its biggest highlight is the airline’s first dedicated barista bar in any lounge. The coffee station serves handcrafted Lavazza beverages, offering travelers both hot and iced drinks that can be customized to individual preferences.
Alongside freshly prepared coffee, passengers have access to self-service beverage stations stocked with bottled and canned drinks.
The concept is intended to reduce wait times while giving eligible travelers quick access to refreshments before departure.
American has also incorporated local design elements inspired by New York City, using modern lighting, subtle textures, and contemporary finishes to create a distinct sense of place within the airport.

Expanded Food Options
Unlike the original Provisions by Admirals Club in Charlotte, the new JFK location significantly expands its food selection.
Breakfast is available until 11 a.m. and includes pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, snack mixes, and hot breakfast items. After 11 a.m., the lounge transitions to an all-day menu featuring grab-and-go meals, sweet treats, savory snacks, and other ready-to-eat options.
The concept is specifically aimed at passengers making tight connections or those looking for a quick lounge visit before boarding.
By focusing on efficient service, American hopes to serve more eligible travelers while maintaining premium food and beverage standards.
The lounge complements existing premium facilities in Terminal 8 rather than replacing them, providing another option based on passengers’ travel schedules and available time.

Improving Premium Travel
Heather Garboden, American Airlines’ Chief Customer Officer, said the new lounge reflects how customers move through one of the airline’s busiest hubs.
According to the airline, many travelers connecting through JFK seek faster access to premium amenities without walking to a traditional Admirals Club. The new facility offers that convenience while introducing elevated beverage choices and fresh food closer to departure gates.
The JFK location marks the second Provisions by Admirals Club facility in American’s network following its debut in Charlotte.
However, the addition of barista-prepared coffee, expanded dining options, and an upgraded interior design makes the New York lounge a more comprehensive premium offering.
The airline continues investing in airport experience improvements as it enhances lounge facilities across key hubs while accommodating growing premium travel demand.
