DOHA— Qatar Airways (QR) has launched a limited-time promotion offering up to a 50% bonus on Avios purchases through its Privilege Club loyalty program. The offer is available for transactions completed by February 17, 2026, and is designed to attract members seeking faster mileage accumulation.
The promotion is anchored around Doha and Hamad International Airport (DOH), the airline’s global hub and transfer point for most long-haul itineraries. The bonus structure lowers the effective cost of Avios and positions the offer as one of the more competitive airline mileage sales currently in the market.

Avios Purchase Offer
Under the flash sale, Privilege Club members can receive bonuses ranging from 30% to 50%, depending on the number of Avios purchased.
The highest bonus tier applies to purchases of 42,000 Avios or more, reducing the cost to about 1.53 US cents per Avios.
Each member can buy, gift, or transfer up to 250,000 Avios per calendar year before bonuses. With the maximum 50% bonus applied, this allows a total of 375,000 Avios to be credited to a single account.
Eligibility rules require members to have earned at least one Avios since enrollment before purchasing additional miles.
This requirement can be met through flying, credit card transfers, or partner activity, and is intended to prevent misuse of newly created accounts.

Redemption Value Overview
Qatar Privilege Club continues to offer competitive redemption rates, particularly for long-haul premium cabin travel.
One-way Business Class awards from Asia to Europe typically range between 70,000 and 75,000 Avios during off-peak periods.
Flights to North America generally require around 95,000 Avios one way in Business Class under off-peak pricing. All redemptions on Qatar-operated flights route through Doha, but the airline serves several destinations not covered nonstop by regional competitors.
The program uses a three-tier pricing system covering off-peak, peak, and Flexi awards.
Peak pricing increases mileage requirements by roughly 20%, while Flexi awards can double the off-peak cost, making award selection timing a critical factor.

Fees and Conditions
While Qatar Privilege Club does not impose fuel surcharges on its own flights, it applies an award booking fee that varies by route and cabin.
According to Mile Lion, for Business Class travel between Asia and Europe, the fee can reach US$180 per segment.
These fees apply per flight leg, meaning connecting itineraries through Doha can significantly increase total out-of-pocket costs. Partner airline redemptions are exempt from this fee, though partner-imposed surcharges may still apply.
Avios held in Qatar Privilege Club do not expire as long as at least one Avios is earned or redeemed every 36 months. Platinum members benefit from non-expiring Avios, offering additional long-term value.
The current promotion offers meaningful savings compared to standard purchase rates, but it remains best suited for travelers with near-term redemption plans.
Members are generally advised to confirm award availability before committing to large mileage purchases.
