ATHENS– India’s largest LCC, IndiGo Airlines (6E), has launched non-stop flights from India to Athens, establishing itself as the only Indian carrier offering direct connectivity to Greece.
The airline commenced operations from Mumbai Airport (BOM) on January 23 and will begin services from Delhi Airport (DEL) on January 24, utilizing its new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft.
The addition of Athens strengthens IndiGo’s international network and marks a significant step in its long-range narrow-body strategy. Each flight is operated with the A321XLR, which features a total of 195 seats, including 12 business-class seats in a 2×2 configuration and 183 economy-class seats. The aircraft’s extended range of up to 8,700 km allows non-stop operations to Southern Europe while maintaining cost efficiency.
IndiGo has introduced promotional fares starting at ₹21,999, subject to limited seat availability.
