DELHI- IndiGo Airlines (6E) has announced the launch of direct flights between Delhi and London Heathrow, starting 2 February 2026. The new service will operate five times a week, strengthening nonstop connectivity between India and the United Kingdom.
The route will connect Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi (DEL), with London Heathrow Airport (LHR) using Boeing 787 aircraft. With this addition, IndiGo will operate a total of 12 weekly flights to London, including its existing Mumbai–London Heathrow services.
IndiGo Adds New Flights from Delhi to London
The Delhi–London Heathrow flights will be operated with Boeing 787 aircraft taken on wet or damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways (N0).
The aircraft will feature a dual-class layout with IndiGoStretch and Economy Class, offering passengers a wider range of comfort and pricing options on long-haul travel.
IndiGo already operates daily direct flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow. The addition of Delhi further strengthens the airline’s UK network and supports growing demand for travel between the two countries across business, leisure, education, and visiting friends and relatives segments.

Delhi’s Growing Role
The new London route reflects IndiGo’s steady expansion of international connectivity from the national capital. In recent months, the airline has launched direct flights from Delhi to Denpasar, Bali, Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Manchester.
IndiGo has also confirmed the introduction of direct flights from Delhi to Athens starting January 2026.
Over the past 12 months, the airline has added 10 new international destinations and more than 30 new international routes from multiple cities in India, underlining its broader internationalisation strategy.
