GURUGRAM- Tata Group-owned Air India (AI), India’s leading global airline, introduces a refreshed international in-flight menu that blends authentic Indian regional cuisines with global influences.
The menu launches progressively from November 2025 on most international routes departing India, including Delhi (DEL) to London Heathrow (LHR), New York (JFK/EWR), Washington Dulles (IAD), Toronto (YYZ), Melbourne (MEL), Sydney (SYD), and Dubai (DXB).
Air India extends the offering to flights from Mumbai (BOM) and Bengaluru (BLR) to San Francisco (SFO), Mumbai (BOM) to New York (JFK/EWR), and other sectors, with full rollout across all international and domestic routes in the coming months.
Curated by recently appointed Chef Sandeep Kalra, the menu draws inspiration from India’s diverse culinary heritage, from the royal kitchens of Awadh and classic Delhi street food to authentic South Indian tiffin, while incorporating Pan-Asian, European bistro, and geo-specific star dishes.

Air India New Global Inflight Menu
Air India weaves a delicious story that combines the flavours of India with influences from global cuisines.
The menu strikes a chord with every traveller through region-inspired Indian meals and international options such as European bistros and Pan-Asian specialities.
South Indian platters and Awadhi thalis bring alive India’s heritage, delivering an authentic dining experience at 35,000 feet.
Cabin crew receive specialised training to elevate presentation and service of the new menu, aligning with Air India’s broader transformation that includes new aircraft, upgraded cabins, and the refreshed Air India experience.

Premium Dining Across Cabin Classes
First Class passengers enjoy gourmet meals, artisanal breads, signature desserts, and bespoke wine and champagne pairings.
Business Class features multi-course gourmet meals with customisable options and curated beverage pairings.
Premium Economy and Economy passengers receive upgraded meal trays with balanced, wholesome choices, familiar regional flavours, and enhanced presentation.

Signature Dish Highlights
Indian classics include:
- Awadhi Paneer Anjeer Pasanda (vegetarian Awadhi thali) and Murgh Massalam (non-vegetarian Awadhi thali) in First and Business Class
- Traditional South Indian platters in First and Business Class
- Rajasthani besan chilla, Malabari chicken curry, and malai palak kofta in Premium Economy
International offerings feature:
- Japanese Teppanyaki Bowl, citrus tiger prawns, and oriental napa cabbage and tofu rollmops in First Class
- Seoul flamed prawns, manicotti forestiere, and Mediterranean tapas in Business Class
Gen Z favourites in Business Class include chicken bibimbap and matcha delice. Homestyle comfort options in Business Class offer masala dal khichdi and stuffed parantha.

Extensive Special and Dietary Meals
Air India (AI) provides over 18 special meal types, one of the most comprehensive selections worldwide, covering vegan, gluten-free, allergen-conscious, and modern lifestyle preferences.
Passengers pre-select meals via the Air India app, complete with chef’s notes, allergen information, and customisation capabilities.

Air India sources, prepares, packs, and handles all food with care for the environment and community.
The airline uses locally sourced seasonal ingredients to support farmers, reduce food miles, and ensure maximum freshness from produce to plate.
Environmentally friendly initiatives include compostable utensils, paper meal boxes, reduced single-use plastics, and onboard waste segregation for recycling and composting.
