DELHI- An American Airlines (AA) flight traveling from New Delhi (DEL) to New York (JFK) made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) due to a medical emergency involving a passenger.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touched down safely in Baku at 02:30 local time, ensuring immediate medical intervention for the unwell traveler.

During its transcontinental journey from India to the United States, the American Airlines flight encountered a health-related emergency midair.
The captain requested a diversion to Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD), the primary international gateway in Azerbaijan, to secure urgent care for the affected individual.
Upon arrival, local medical teams boarded the aircraft and administered emergency aid. The passenger was stabilized and taken for further observation.
