ISTANBUL- Flag carrier of Türkiye, Turkish Airlines (TK) has announced further adjustments to its North American operations for the Northern Summer 2025 season.
Turkish Airlines currently serves this route twice daily with a mix of Boeing 777s and 787s fleet.
Turkish Airlines Chicago and LAX Flights
The carrier will increase its Istanbul (IST) to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) service from 14 to 17 weekly flights, utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for the expanded schedule. This service boost begins on July 7, 2025, and will run through October 25, 2025, reported Aeroroutes.
The updated flight schedule includes three daily departures from Istanbul to Chicago:
- TK185 departing IST at 06:30 and arriving ORD at 09:50 on a 787-9, operating daily.
- TK005 departing IST at 14:20 and arriving ORD at 17:55 on a 777-300ER, operating daily.
- TK155 departing IST at 18:45 and arriving ORD at 22:00 on a 787-9, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
The return flights from Chicago to Istanbul are scheduled as follows:
- TK186 departing ORD at 11:35 and arriving IST at 05:45+1 on a 787-9, operating daily.
- TK006 departing ORD at 19:50 and arriving IST at 14:40+1 on a 777-300ER, operating daily.
- TK156 departing ORD at 23:45 and arriving IST at 18:05+1 on a 787-9, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
This adjustment aligns with Turkish Airlines’ earlier announcement to increase its Istanbul to Los Angeles (LAX) service from 14 to 17 weekly flights, also effective July 7, 2025.
Turkish carrier operates flights to these US cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington Dulles.
Daily Flights to Denver
Turkish Airlines also plans to expand its non-stop service between Istanbul Airport (IST) and Denver International Airport (DEN), increasing the frequency from four weekly flights to daily service.
Starting June 9, 2025, the route will operate seven times per week using Airbus A350 aircraft.
Denver International Airport, which handled 31 million passengers in 1995, has grown significantly to serve over 69 million annually.
It now offers non-stop connections to more than 210 destinations across 14 countries, positioning itself as one of the fastest-growing airports globally.
Turkish Airlines launched the IST-DEN route as its 347th destination, further strengthening its global network, which spans approximately 350 destinations in 130 countries.
The airline is expected to announce additional 2025 U.S. destinations in the coming months, potentially expanding its North American footprint further.
