Rat on Dallas to Los Angeles Flight

You can see in a video that a rodent or small animal is moving on the ceiling which is the house of crucial electric (avionics) wiring that runs across the aircraft.
Now as per the current schedule, the Florida-based carrier operates three daily flights between Dallas and Los Angeles and it can be any one of them.

While it’s not confirmed which flight it was some users commented that it’s an A320 aircraft so it could be NK363 or NK3709.
User Remarks
One user on X wrote, “That is concerning rats or squirrels can chew up electrical wires.”
Similarly, one user said, “They cost me 4K for a Tundra Wiring Harness during Covid…. wonder what they could do to an airplane.”
One also said, “By the paws and size I would say this is a raccoon…..every bit capable of pulling wires apart in a half a second. Have you ever seen them debone a fish? Makes a sushi chef look sloppy.”
Some even wrote, “Judging by the choice language heard, it was a low-cost carrier like Spirit whose maintenance stretches C checks out as far as possible. He’s probably enjoying eating wires to the fuel tanks.”
Rat Found in Meal
A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Oslo to Malaga made an emergency landing in Copenhagen after a passenger discovered a live mouse in their in-flight meal. The incident occurred in September 2024, prompted a precautionary diversion.
SAS spokesperson Oystein Schmidt cited passenger and crew safety as the reason for the diversion. Upon landing in Copenhagen, the aircraft underwent a thorough inspection to locate the rodent.
Airlines typically maintain strict regulations regarding rodents on board due to the potential risk of electrical wiring damage. Schmidt emphasized the rarity of such occurrences, stating, “This is something that happens extremely rarely. We have established procedures for such situations, which also include a review with our suppliers to ensure this does not happen again.”
Passenger Jarle Borrestad recounted the incident on Facebook, describing how a nearby passenger opened her meal to find a mouse jumping out. Borrestad took precautions by pulling his socks over his pant legs to prevent the mouse from crawling up.
He noted that despite the shocking discovery, fellow passengers remained remarkably calm.
