NEW YORK- JetBlue Airways (B6) announces plans to launch its first airport lounges at New York JFK Terminal 5 in late 2025 and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Terminal C shortly after.
This initiative forms part of JetBlue’s ‘JetForward’ strategy, aimed at meeting increasing demand for premium services. The lounges will serve as a new Signature Perk for top-tier TrueBlue Mosaic® members and complement an upcoming premium credit card offering.
JetBlue Introduces Lounge
Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president, emphasizes the long-standing customer demand for JetBlue lounges.
He highlights the lounges’ role in enhancing the value of the TrueBlue loyalty program and supporting the expansion of JetBlue’s credit card portfolio. The lounges aim to cater to the growing segment of customers seeking premium experiences.
As New York’s Hometown Airline® and Boston’s preferred carrier, JetBlue intends to elevate the travel experience in its two largest focus cities. This move aligns with the airline’s goal to establish the East Coast’s premier leisure network under the JetForward initiative.
The lounges will provide a relaxed environment for customers to play, work, and unwind, extending JetBlue’s affordable premium experience from in-flight to ground services.
Exclusive Lounges
JetBlue plans to introduce exclusive airport lounges, addressing the growing demand for premium services while mitigating overcrowding issues prevalent in other airline lounges. Access to these facilities will be primarily reserved for JetBlue’s most loyal customers and premium credit cardholders.
Complimentary lounge access will be granted to holders of a new premium JetBlue credit card, TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members, and transatlantic Mint customers. Mosaic 4 members and premium credit cardholders will also receive guest access privileges. JetBlue will offer day passes, guest passes, and annual passes for purchase, expanding lounge accessibility to a broader customer base.
The introduction of lounges marks a significant enhancement to JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program. Mosaic 4 members will receive complimentary access for themselves and a guest as a new Signature Perk, fulfilling a long-standing member request.
JetBlue plans to further enhance its Mosaic program in 2025. Members who earn 250 tiles will receive two additional Move to Mint certificates for every 100 tiles earned thereafter, allowing for unlimited earning of these certificates. This change enables Mosaic members to experience JetBlue’s premium Mint service more frequently.
The airline recently revamped its TrueBlue program to offer more rewards, introducing new Mosaic levels, tiles, and perks. This refresh allows members to customize their path to Mosaic status through travel spend, JetBlue credit card spending, or a combination of both.
Spacious and Playful
JetBlue unveils plans for expansive lounges at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Boston Logan International Airport, spanning 8,000 and 11,000 square feet respectively. These spaces will incorporate JetBlue’s signature blue brand elements alongside local and regional artwork, creating a distinct atmosphere.
The lounges will feature three dedicated areas: Play, Work, and Lounge. The Play area offers a social environment with a full-service bar serving complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Workspaces provide fast, free Wi-Fi, ample power outlets, and a complimentary barista-made coffee bar. The Lounge area offers comfortable seating and complimentary food and beverage options.
JetBlue’s renowned customer service will extend to the lounges, with hospitality-trained crewmembers ensuring a seamless experience. Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president, emphasizes the integration of the airline’s in-flight touches into the lounge environment.
This lounge initiative reinforces JetBlue’s position as a leader in leisure and premium leisure travel on the East Coast. The airline currently offers over 20 percent more lie-flat seats from Boston than any competitor.
JetBlue has also announced an expansion in New England, increasing frequencies on popular leisure routes from Boston Logan.
