NEW YORK- Fort Worth-based carrier American Airlines (AA) revives its New York (JFK) to Las Vegas (LAS) route starting November 5.
The daily Boeing 737-800 flight AA190 will depart JFK at 8:05 AM and arrive in Las Vegas at 11:15 AM. The return flight leaves Las Vegas at 11:30 AM, landing in JFK at 7:30 PM.
American New York to Las Vegas
This marks the third attempt to establish this route since the COVID-19 pandemic. American Airlines previously operated this service before COVID, reintroduced it in 2021, and cut it again in 2022, Ishrion Aviation reported.
The New York-Las Vegas route ranks among the top domestic routes not currently served by American Airlines.
The airline uses the same flight number (AA190) for both directions, potentially confusing if both flights are airborne simultaneously. Schedule updates may occur later to address this issue.
In related news, Delta Air Lines (DL) plans to relaunch its Las Vegas to Santa Ana (SNA) route on January 2, 2025, offering twice-daily flights using an E175 aircraft.
Additionally, American Airlines will introduce a new route from Carlsbad (CLD) to Phoenix (PHX) starting February 13, 2025, with twice-daily E175 flights.
