MILAN- Beond Airlines (B4), the world’s first premium leisure airline, launched service today between Milan-Malpensa (MXP) and Malé (MLE), Maldives.
The Beond aircraft, a specially designed Airbus A319 with striking dark charcoal and copper livery, showcases many elements of Italian design.

For instance, the plush white leather seats feature leather from Poltrona Frau, a renowned furniture and automotive designer founded in 1912.
This full-grain leather is handmade by Poltrona Frau artisans. The seats were designed by Optimares, a leading aircraft seat designer and manufacturer, also based in Italy.
The airline now offers twice-weekly service from Milan-Malpensa to Malé on Wednesdays and Saturdays, providing discerning customers with unparalleled comfort and exclusivity between the cities.
“Milan customers seek luxury travel options to the Maldives for themselves, their friends, and their families,” said Tero Taskila, CEO of Beond. “Our goal has been to exceed every expectation from the moment they book with us until they return home after enjoying one of the world’s most unique destinations. The response from Milan has been excellent.”
“Partners like Poltrona Frau and Optimares were instrumental in designing our luxurious cabin,” Taskila added. “They understood our vision for customer comfort from the outset. You can feel it when you board the aircraft — an all-white leather seat, debossed with the Beond logo. It’s elegant, timeless, and handmade.”
Further, the debut Beond aircraft was showcased at the Dubai Air Show in mid-November, with more Airbus aircraft joined the Beond fleet in the latter part of 2023 and early 2024.
The exquisite fine China set showcases subtle golden watermark patterns, embodying a sense of understated luxury in each meticulously crafted piece.
