LOS ANGELES- On Wednesday (March 14, 2024), an American Airlines (AA) Boeing 777 had to execute an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) due to a mechanical problem.
The flight, originating from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and heading westward, touched on Runway 25 at approximately 8:45 p.m.

An American Airlines representative stated that the pilot had indicated a potential mechanical problem before the landing. However, the specific nature of the issue remains uncertain.
SkyCal observed the plane as it taxied to a gate, where a boarding bridge was positioned for passengers to disembark.
There have been no reports of injuries. Further, some media outlets reported that flight AA345 made an emergency landing at LAX, but it was scheduled to land at LAX at 9 Pm local time.
