NEW YORK- Delta Air Lines (DL) is scheduled to restart daily nonstop flights between New York JFK and Tel Aviv (TLV), Israel, starting June 7, 2024, utilizing Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, reported FlightMode.
The Atlanta-based carrier Delta and other US Airlines halted operations on routes to Israel in the aftermath of the conflict between Israel and Palestine in October of the previous year.
Delta New York to Tel Aviv
Delta Airlines opted to suspend operations to Israel until April 30th, while American Airlines (AA) chose to suspend operations until October 28th.
The airline mentioned last month that there is a potential for resuming flight operations in the spring.
Here’s the Flight Schedule:
- DL234: New York JFK to Tel Aviv, departing at 23:40 and arriving at 17:35.
- DL235: Tel Aviv to New York JFK, departing at 23:55 and arriving at 05:10.
Earlier this year, many European airlines, including Germany’s Lufthansa (LH), France’s Air France (AF), and Poland’s LOT (LO) resumed flights to Tel Aviv.
Over the past few months, Delta has bolstered its presence in Israel by establishing a codeshare agreement with EL AL Israel Airlines (LY). This partnership enables Delta customers to utilize EL AL’s direct flights to Tel Aviv from prominent U.S. cities such as New York-JFK, New York-Newark, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.
With Delta’s upcoming reintroduction of service from New York-JFK this summer, travelers will enjoy even more options for connecting between North America and Israel.
United Israel Flights
United Airlines reinstate its daily flight from New York/Newark (EWR) to Tel Aviv (TLV), Israel, on March 6, 2024.
Chicago-based carrier conducted a thorough safety analysis to reach this decision, collaborating closely with security experts and government officials in both the United States and Israel.
The airline also worked in conjunction with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) and the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) to establish protocols ensuring safety and informed decision-making.
Continuous monitoring of the situation in Tel Aviv will guide schedule adjustments as necessary, including modifications to the newly announced resumed service from New York/Newark.
United expresses eagerness to reintroduce a second daily Tel Aviv flight from Newark as early as May, contingent upon the recovery of travel demand.
The possibility of resuming previous flights from San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare will be evaluated with a potential restart in the fall.
