NEW HAVEN- Avelo Airlines (XP) has officially disclosed its plans to expand services from Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Southern Connecticut, introducing nonstop flights to four new destinations: Atlanta, Charlotte in North Carolina, Knoxville in Tennessee, and Destin in Florida.
With the incorporation of these new routes, Avelo is set to provide nonstop connectivity to 21 destinations from Tweed, making it the airline with the most extensive nonstop route network from Connecticut compared to any other carrier operating in the state.
Avelo Airlines 4 New Destinations
Avelo will exclusively offer nonstop service from Southern Connecticut to these sought-after destinations. Notably, Avelo stands as the sole airline providing nonstop flights from Connecticut to Knoxville and Destin. Furthermore, it holds the distinction of being the sole low-fare airline offering direct flights to Atlanta and Charlotte.
All four routes are scheduled to commence operations in May 2024, utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. To kick off these new services, introductory one-way fares will begin at $62*.
Atlanta, Georgia, served through Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), will commence operations on May 2, offering flights four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Introductory fares for this route start as low as $72*.
Charlotte, North Carolina, accessible via Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), will also begin operations on May 2, with flights scheduled twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Introductory fares for this route start as low as $62*.
Destin, with service to Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), is set to commence operations on May 17, offering flights twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, along with a special inaugural flight celebration on Friday, May 17. Introductory fares for this route start as low as $79*.
Knoxville, Tennessee, served through McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS), will begin operations on May 9, with flights operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Introductory fares for this route start as low as $62*.
