Air Canada Makes New Changes to US Flight Schedule

MONTREAL- In recent weeks, Air Canada (AC) has made additional adjustments to its planned operations in the United States for the upcoming Northern Summer 2024 season.

The latest summary as of November 30, 2023, comprises the following modifications.

Air Canada US Flight Changes

Starting May 1, 2024, Air Canada is set to implement the following changes in its Northern summer operations, as reported by Aeroroutes:

1. Montreal to Houston: Daily flights will increase from 1 to 2, utilizing A220-300 aircraft.
2. Montreal to Minneapolis/St. Paul: Daily flights will increase from 1 to 2, operated with CRJ900 aircraft.
3. Montreal to New Orleans: The service will convert to year-round, maintaining its frequency at 4 weekly flights (previously 2), operated by CRJ900 aircraft starting May 2, 2024.
4. Montreal to Phoenix: Weekly flights will increase from 2 (3 from June 21, 2024) to 5, instead of the previously filed 4 weekly flights. Rouge A319 aircraft will be in operation.
5. Toronto to New Orleans: Weekly flights will increase from 3 to 4, with rouge A319 aircraft.
6. Vancouver to Portland, OR: Daily flights will increase from 3 to 4, operated by Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, effective May 1, 2024.

Frequency Changes

Comparing calendar weeks 32 of 2023 to 2024, the following frequency changes are noted:

Montreal Routes:

• Montreal to Boston: Weekly flights increase from 23 to 28.
• Montreal to Dallas/Ft. Worth: Daily flights reduce from 2 to 1.
• Montreal to Newark: Daily flights increase from 3 to 4.
• Montreal to San Francisco: Daily flights increase from 2 to 3.
• Montreal to Tampa: Weekly flights increase from 2 to 3.

Toronto Routes:

• Toronto to Atlanta: Weekly flights increase from 24 to 28.
• Toronto to Baltimore/Washington: Daily flights increase from 2 to 3.
• Toronto to Boston: Daily flights increase from 4 to 5.
• Toronto to Charlotte: Weekly flights increase from 12 to 14.
• Toronto to Chicago O’Hare: Weekly flights increase from 30 to 49.
• Toronto to Cincinnati: Daily flights increase from 2 to 3.
• Toronto to Cleveland: Weekly flights increase from 20 to 21.
• Toronto to Dallas/Ft. Worth: Daily flights increase from 1 to 3.
• Toronto to Detroit: Weekly flights increase from 18 to 21.
• Toronto to Los Angeles: Weekly flights increase from 33 to 35.
• Toronto to Nashville: Daily flights increase from 1 to 2.
• Toronto to New York LaGuardia: Weekly flights increase from 66 to 84.
• Toronto to Orlando: Daily flights increase from 3 to 4.

Vancouver Routes:

• Vancouver to Austin: Weekly flights increase from 2 to 3.
• Vancouver to Boston: Weekly flights reduced from 7 to 6.
• Vancouver to Las Vegas: Weekly flights increase from 12 to 14.
• Vancouver to Phoenix: Daily flights increase from 1 to 2.
• Vancouver to San Diego: Daily flights increase from 2 to 3.
