UNITED STATES- Prominent US airlines promote customer loyalty through enticing incentives, with American Airlines (AA) leading the way through its AAdvantage program.
This initiative enables passengers to accumulate miles across a network of over 1,000 flights worldwide, offering perks such as upgrades and car rental benefits.

Southwest Airlines (WN) offers a straightforward loyalty plan where travelers earn points based on ticket cost. However, there’s a method to accrue these advantages without spending any money.
Passengers can boost their points for more economical travel by completing some forms. This is possible because survey companies reward travel providers for referring individuals to partake in their research studies.
These surveys cover various subjects, including marketing and politics, and usually require 15 to 30 minutes to finish. Airlines like American Airlines offer loyalty points as an incentive for completing these surveys.
While the points earned are typically below 50, accumulating a substantial amount may take some time. Travel writer Kyle Olsen, reporting for The Points Guy (TPG), shed light on the process.
Surveys Help Accumulate Benefits
“Intrigued by the process, I enrolled in the Miles for Opinions program by American Airlines,” he explained. “After finishing my initial survey, AAdvantage members receive a bonus of 250 miles. Adding my AAdvantage number to the landing page was a straightforward process.”
“Following that, I was directed to a page featuring a variety of personal questions,” Olsen continued. “Responding to these questions would likely lead the user to a survey for completion.”
These initial questions cover demographic aspects such as income and race.
While the points acquired may be relatively modest, occasional sign-on bonuses can be substantial.
In a specific scenario related to a traveler’s hotel stay, an individual received a 10,000-point Hilton bonus for completing a single survey.”
“That’s valued at $60 according to TPG’s assessment – making it potentially more rewarding,” Olsen stated.
“On Nov. 8, another TPG team member received an email from JetBlue, offering the chance to ‘earn 400 TrueBlue points when you sign up for Jet Opinions and complete your first online survey,'” he continued.
“Furthermore, you’ll continue earning TrueBlue points with each additional survey. This could be a simple method if you want to add a few extra points to your balance.”
Olsen summarized the potential advantages of participating in surveys as follows:
The appeal of earning points and miles without spending money is evident. However, participants should be prepared to answer personal demographic questions to accrue points and miles through surveys.
Moreover, aside from occasional welcome bonuses, the return on time investment may not be substantial.
