NEW YORK- Delta Air Lines (DL) is set to reintroduce its service between New York LaGuardia (LGA) and Halifax (YHZ), Canada, for the Northern summer of 2024. This route, which was last available in the summer of 2019, is scheduled to resume with two daily flights starting on June 7, 2024.
Further, these flights will be operated using Embraer E175 aircraft by Republic Airways (YX).
Delta New York to Halifax
Here is the flight schedule for LGA-YHZ as reported by Aeroroutes:
DL5779 departing from LaGuardia at 10:45 AM and arriving at Halifax at 1:55 PM with an Embraer E175 aircraft is offered daily.
DL5831 departing from LaGuardia at 7:30 PM and arriving at Halifax at 10:40 PM with an Embraer E175 aircraft is also available daily.
DL5827 departing from Halifax at 6:00 AM and arriving at LaGuardia at 7:10 AM with an Embraer E175 aircraft is offered daily.
DL5779 departing from Halifax at 3:00 PM and arriving at LaGuardia at 4:10 PM with an Embraer E175 aircraft is available daily as well.
Some Changes from JFK
Here are some changes made by Delta for its departing from New York JFK:
- New York JFK – Athens
- Starting from October 28, 2023: 5 weekly A330-900neo service maintained, instead of previously filed -300.
- Seasonal service suspension from January 7, 2024, to March 10, 2024.
- Starting from March 11, 2024: Increase from previously filed 4 weekly to 5, A330-900neo.
- New York JFK – Barcelona
- 767-400ER replaced by the following aircraft, 1 daily:
- From October 28, 2023, to December 15, 2023: 767-300ER.
- From December 16, 2023, to January 7, 2024: A330-300.
- From January 8, 2024, to February 23, 2024: Reduced from 7 to 4 weekly, A330-300.
- Starting from February 24, 2024: A330-300 (Previously 767-400ER).
- New York JFK – Brussels
- Starting from October 28, 2023: 1 daily 767-300ER service maintained, instead of previously filed -400ER.
- From January 9, 2024, to March 7, 2024: Reduced from 7 to 5 weekly.

- Starting from October 28, 2023: 1 daily 767-400ER, new route.
- New York JFK – Edinburgh
- Seasonal service suspension starting from January 8, 2024 (Previously January 8, 2024, to March 9, 2024).

- Starting from October 28, 2023: 767-400ER replaces previously filed A330-200, 1 daily.

- Service converts to summer seasonal.
