Virgin Atlantic Makes New Changes to Its International Schedule

LONDON- Here is the most recent overview of Virgin Atlantic (VS)’s scheduled operational adjustments for the upcoming Northern winter season in 2023/24, taking effect on October 29, 2023.

These adjustments, as of October 28, 2023, encompass the following modifications when compared to previously filed schedules from earlier in the year.

Virgin Atlantic International Schedule Changes

These changes, as of October 28, 2023, include:

1. London Heathrow to Antigua: Beginning November 25, 2023, the seasonal nonstop service will resume, operating 3 times a week with A330-300 aircraft, replacing the previous 1-stop route via Bridgetown.
2. London Heathrow to Austin: Starting on October 29, 2023, the service will be reduced from 4 to 3 weekly flights, operated by 787-9 aircraft. Additionally, the service will be canceled as of January 8, 2024.
3. London Heathrow to Boston: From January 16 to February 29, 2024, the service will be reduced from 7 to 6 weekly flights, with a combination of A330-300 and -900neo aircraft.
4. London Heathrow to Bridgetown – Grenada: Beginning December 8, 2023, the frequency will increase from 2 to 3 weekly flights, utilizing A330-300 aircraft.
5. London Heathrow to Las Vegas: From January 7 to January 11, 2024, the A350-1000XWB aircraft will replace the 787-9 on this route.
6. London Heathrow to Miami: Between November 30 and December 13, 2023, one of the daily flights, VS005/006, will be operated by a 787-9 aircraft, replacing the A350-1000XWB.
7. London Heathrow to San Francisco: From January 7 to January 11, 2024, the 787-9 will be used instead of the A350-1000XWB.
8. London Heathrow to Seattle: Starting from January 15 to February 25, 2024, the service will be reduced from 7 to 5 weekly flights, operated by 787-9 aircraft.
9. London Heathrow to Shanghai Pu Dong: Between February 19 and March 19, 2024, the frequency will be reduced from 7 to 5-6 weekly flights, using 787-9 aircraft.
10. London Heathrow to Tel Aviv: From January 9 to March 3, 2024, the service will be reduced from 7 to 5 weekly flights, with 787-9 aircraft.
11. London Heathrow to Washington Dulles: Between January 15 and March 3, 2024, the service will be reduced from 7 to 5 weekly flights, utilizing 787-9 aircraft.

Here are some previously mentioned changes to Virgin Atlantic’s flight operations from London Heathrow as reported by Aeroroutes:

1. London Heathrow to Bridgetown: Commencing on November 25, 2023, an A330-900neo will operate flights VS131/132 on Saturdays.
2. London Heathrow to Dubai: Starting on October 30, 2023, the service will resume with 4 weekly flights utilizing 787-9 aircraft. This marks the first operation since March 2019.
3. London Heathrow to Male: From October 22, 2023, a new seasonal route will be introduced with 3 weekly flights operated by 787-9 aircraft.
4. London Heathrow to Mumbai: Beginning on October 29, 2023, a 397-seater A350-1000XWB will replace the 787-9, providing daily service.
5. London Heathrow to Nassau – Montego Bay: As of November 26, 2023, during the peak season, the frequency will decrease from 4 weekly flights in the 2022/23 winter season to 3 weekly, with flights operated by 787-9 aircraft.
6. London Heathrow to Providenciales – Montego Bay: Starting on November 4, 2023, a new route with 2 weekly flights using 787-9 aircraft will be introduced. It’s important to note that the overall service for Montego Bay remains consistent at 7 weekly flights.
