AUCKLAND- Starting in June 2023, Air New Zealand (NZ) has made several adjustments to its planned Australian routes for the upcoming Northern winter 2023/24 season.
As of October 2023, Air New Zealand, a member of the Star Alliance, offers flights to 20 domestic destinations and serves 30 international destinations across 18 different countries.

Air New Zealand Australian Routes Updates
Since the previous update by Aeroroutes on June 6, 2023, the airline has revised its frequency increases on specific routes.
- Auckland – Brisbane: Increased from 2 to 3 daily flights starting from October 29, 2023.
- Auckland – Gold Coast: Increased from 7 to 8 weekly flights, commencing December 11, 2023.
- Auckland – Melbourne: Increased from 23 to 25 weekly flights from October 29, 2023 (and 28 from December 11, 2023, instead of October 29, 2023).
- Auckland – Sydney: Increased from 28 to 34 weekly flights beginning October 29, 2023 (36 from December 4, 2023, 37 from December 11, 2023, and 35 from February 1, 2024; Previous plan was to increase from 28 to 41 weekly).
- Christchurch – Melbourne: Increased from 7 to 10 weekly flights, starting December 4, 2023 (Previously, it was expected to start from October 29, 2023. The week of October 29, 2023, continues to list 10 weekly flights but reverts to 7 weekly from November 5, 2023, to December 3, 2023).
- Christchurch – Sydney: Increased from 7 to 9 weekly flights, effective January 3, 2024 (10 from February 7, 2024).
- Queenstown – Sydney: Increased from 4 to 7 weekly flights between December 11, 2023, and February 6, 2024 (Initially, Air New Zealand filed for 7 weekly flights during the same period. In late May, it was filed with 7 weekly flights for the entire season).
- Wellington – Sydney: Maintaining 1 daily service from October 29, 2023 (Previous plan was to increase to 2 daily services).

Changes By Feb 2024
By February 2024, the Air New Zealand Trans-Tasman network is planned to operate as follows (please note that selected weeks may see variations in frequency):
- Auckland – Adelaide: 4 weekly flights
- Auckland – Brisbane: 21 weekly flights
- Auckland – Gold Coast: 8 weekly flights
- Auckland – Hobart: 3 weekly flights
- Auckland – Melbourne: 28 weekly flights
- Auckland – Perth: 7 weekly flights
- Auckland – Sydney: 35 weekly flights
- Christchurch – Brisbane: 7 weekly flights
- Christchurch – Gold Coast: 2 weekly flights
- Christchurch – Melbourne: 10 weekly flights
- Christchurch – Sydney: 9 weekly flights
- Queenstown – Melbourne: 3 weekly flights
- Queenstown – Sydney: 4 weekly flights
- Wellington – Brisbane: 7 weekly flights
- Wellington – Melbourne: 7 weekly flights
- Wellington – Sydney: 7 weekly flights
