DUBAI- Flag carrier of UAE Emirates (EK) is planning a repatriation flight using Airbus A380 from Dubai (DXB) to Sydney (SYD) on Thursday to support Australians impacted by the war in Israel.
The flight, designated as EK2616, will depart from Dubai at 9:40 a.m. local time and is scheduled to arrive in Sydney at 6:05 a.m. local time the following day.

Israel War: Emirates A380
Emirates will utilize an A380 aircraft for this flight. This effort comes in the wake of two RAAF flights and a private charter flight that was organized to transport Australians out of Tel Aviv on Sunday evening.
In addition to its regular Dubai services, Emirates has organized this flight and expressed its readiness to provide further humanitarian flights “as required.”
The airline advised Australians interested in traveling on this flight to get in touch with Emirates through its contact center, sales offices, or the nearest Australian consulate or embassy.

On Standby
Emirates has made aircraft and crew available, placing them on standby for activation over the past few days. This was subject to the Australian government’s confirmation of passenger numbers and other details.
The airline has been engaged in thorough discussions with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), various Australian government contacts, and Qantas to coordinate logistics and ground operations.
The situation remains fluid, and Emirates is working closely with its partners to facilitate the evacuation and repatriation of Australians.
Two planned charter flights departing from Tel Aviv were canceled over the weekend, including a second Qantas (QF) Boeing 787 service scheduled for Sunday.
