HYDERABAD- TATA Group-owned Vistara Airlines (UK) flight from Hyderabad Int’l Airport (HYD) to Mumbai Int’l Airport (BOM) is severely delayed after inadvertent deployment of an evacuation (emergency) slide.
The incident occurred today, October 13, 2023, at around 8:30 Am. The 8-year-old carrier operates five daily flights between Hyderabad and Mumbai.

The Indian FSC flight UK874 is scheduled to depart from Rajiv Gandhi Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad at 8:30 AM. It is scheduled to arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai at around 10 Am.
The airline shared the incident on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote,
IMPORTANT UPDATE
We confirm that flight UK874, scheduled to fly from Hyderabad to Mumbai on October 13, 2023, is delayed due to an inadvertent slide deployment. Our team is currently working on rectifying the issue as soon as possible, and all efforts are being made to minimize disruptions, including offering refreshments and alternate options for the journey.
The inconvenience caused to customers is deeply regretted. We are
thoroughly investigating the matter and will take the necessary steps to avoid a
recurrence. As always, the safety of our customers and crew is of utmost
importance to Vistara.
