MONTREAL- The flag carrier Air Canada (AC) has made several adjustments to its planned US operations for the Northern Summer 2024 season, which will take effect from May 1, 2024.
Air Canada stands as the largest airline in Canada, serving as the nation’s flag carrier, and is a founding member of the esteemed Star Alliance, the global aviation network renowned for its extensive air transportation services.
Air Canada US Schedule
These changes include:
- Montreal – Austin: Beginning on May 2, 2024, Air Canada will introduce a new route with four weekly flights operated by the Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The flight schedule will be as follows:
- AC1051 YUL1815 – 2132AUS (223 x357)
- AC1050 AUS1130 – 1628YUL (223 x146)
- Montreal – Nashville: Air Canada will replace the CRJ900 with mainline A220-300 aircraft for its thrice-weekly service starting on May 1, 2024.
- Montreal – New Orleans: This service, initially seasonal, will be extended to year-round operations with two weekly flights using CRJ900 aircraft beginning on May 2, 2024.
- Montreal – Phoenix: Air Canada will increase its frequency from two weekly flights (three from June 21, 2024) to four weekly flights, operated by Rouge A319 aircraft, starting on May 1, 2024.
- Montreal – St. Louis: Beginning on May 1, 2024, Air Canada will introduce a new daily route using CRJ900 aircraft. The flight schedule is as follows:
- AC8687 YUL1830 – 2005STL CR9 (Daily)
- AC8688 STL1200 – 1523YUL CR9 (Daily)
- Montreal – San Diego: The frequency of flights to San Diego will increase from four to seven weekly flights using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. This change will now take effect from May 1, 2024 (previously scheduled for May 30, 2024).
Toronto and Vancouver Changes
- Toronto – Hartford: The service, initially planned for two daily flights, will be reduced to one daily flight operated by CRJ900 aircraft starting on May 1, 2024.
- Toronto – Phoenix: Frequency will increase from one to two daily flights, with Rouge A321 aircraft replacing Rouge A320, starting on May 1, 2024.
- Toronto – Sacramento: Frequency will increase from four to five weekly flights, with 737 MAX 8 aircraft replacing A220-300 aircraft, starting on May 31, 2024.
- Vancouver – Miami: As previously reported, service during the summer season will increase from two weekly flights in NS23 to four weekly flights using 737 MAX 8 aircraft, starting on May 1, 2024.
- Vancouver – Sacramento: Frequency will increase from one to two daily flights, operated by CRJ900 aircraft, starting on May 1, 2024.
- Vancouver – Washington Dulles: Frequency will increase from four to seven weekly flights, using 737 MAX 8 aircraft, starting on May 1, 2024.
Additionally, Air Canada has removed all CRJ200 flights from its schedule starting on May 1, 2024. The airline’s last CRJ200 aircraft operation is scheduled for October 28, 2023.
