FORT WORTH- American Airlines (AA) is thrilled to declare the introduction of four novel routes and the revival of an additional route, marking the airline’s most extensive trans-Atlantic expansion since 2019.
American Airlines is set to introduce fresh direct flights to European destinations. This includes routes originating from Philadelphia (PHL) to Copenhagen (CPH), Denmark, Naples (NAP), Italy, and Nice (NCE), France.
Additionally, American Airlines will inaugurate new air travel between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Barcelona, Spain (BCN) while also reinstating flights connecting Chicago (ORD) and Venice, Italy (VCE).
Philadelphia to Europe
Next summer, American Airlines will provide an extensive lineup of 15 daily nonstop flights from PHL to 14 distinct European destinations. This ambitious schedule marks the airline’s most substantial trans-Atlantic offering departing from the City of Brotherly Love since 2019.
Alongside this, American Airlines is bolstering its domestic connectivity from PHL, rendering hassle-free one-stop access for travelers across the United States to reach Europe conveniently.
Commencing on May 6, AA is launching a service connecting PHL and NCE, acting as a gateway to the captivating allure of the French Riviera. These flights are timed perfectly for passengers to bask in the enchanting glow of Cannes and its luminous lights.
From June 5 onwards, American Airlines will commence new flights to NAP, the fourth Italian destination in their network. Naples, renowned for its delectable Neapolitan pizza, local cuisine, historic Pompeii ruins, and the sun-soaked Amalfi Coast, offers travelers a truly distinctive Italian vacation experience.
With the inauguration of flights to CPH on June 6, American Airlines will expand its services to 11 European countries.
This introduction of service to Scandinavia opens the doors for travelers to explore the picturesque Nyhavn harbor, savor traditional butter cookies, and immerse themselves in the unique experience of almost perpetual daylight.
American Airlines New Destinations
“Next summer, American Airlines is set to inaugurate a fresh route connecting DFW and BCN, marking the airline’s debut in serving this route and offering an unparalleled array of schedule options.
This expansion reinforces American’s prominent position as the leading US carrier serving BCN. Boasting five gateways spanning the United States, American Airlines delivers an exceptional schedule and network, catering to travelers eager to partake in Barcelona’s manifold attractions.
In another exclusive offering, American Airlines will be the sole provider of a nonstop flight linking the Windy City to the City of Water, as service between ORD and VCE is reinstated.
This addition complements the pre-existing service between PHL and VCE, affording travelers enhanced flexibility in their schedules and enabling connections to over 100 domestic destinations, including numerous cities in the Midwest.
Recently, American Airlines has also expanded its year-round service on several pivotal trans-Atlantic routes, encompassing destinations such as Lisbon, Portugal (LIS), Madrid (MAD), and Rome (FCO). This move provides travelers with heightened flexibility in orchestrating their European getaways for the year 2024.
