CALIFORNIA- On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred at Cable Airport in Upland, Southern California, where a single-engine plane, a Beechcraft P35, crashed into a hangar and immediately caught fire.
Unfortunately, the accident resulted in the loss of the pilot and two passengers who were on board during the departure at approximately 6:30 a.m., as the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) reported.
Plane Crashes in California
After the crash, San Bernardino County firefighters effectively extinguished the fire and pronounced the three victims deceased on-site, as mentioned in a statement by Upland Police.
The location of the accident was approximately 40 miles (65 kilometers) east of downtown Los Angeles.
Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, but the hangar sustained moderate damage.
As standard procedure, the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will thoroughly investigate the crash.

Further, the aircraft involved in the accident is identified as a single-engine Cessna 172.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash. According to the FAA, the pilot, a man in his 40s, was engaged in “practicing landings and takeoffs” at the time of the incident.
Further, he was the plane’s sole occupant and managed to exit the aircraft after the crash safely. Subsequently, the pilot was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
