KANSAS- Bombardier made an announcement regarding Airshare, a private aviation company based in Kansas City, stating that Airshare has committed to acquiring up to 20 additional Challenger 3500 aircraft.
This new agreement reflects Airshare’s ambition to double the size of its Challenger fleet, responding to the strong demand they have experienced since incorporating the aircraft into their fractional program.
AirShare Orders Bombardier
In May 2021, Airshare ventured into the super-midsize segment by placing an order for up to 20 Challenger aircraft.
As the company moves forward to exercise all options from the initial order, its latest commitment to the Challenger 3500 jets further emphasizes the growing interest among the traveling public in the smooth, efficient, and reliable customer experience offered by private aviation.
The considerable market demand for these aircraft highlights the appeal of private aviation as a preferred mode of travel.
John Owen, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Airshare, expressed immense satisfaction with the response received since incorporating the Challenger into their fractional program.
The positive feedback came from both existing and new customers, which has been incredibly encouraging for the company.
In light of the overwhelming demand, Airshare is excited to extend its commitment to Bombardier and has plans to add several more Challenger 3500s to its fleet. This decision was made easier due to the strong partnership and collaboration between Airshare and Bombardier.
Eric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, also expressed pride in the continued trust shown by Airshare in choosing Bombardier to expand its fleet.
He highlighted the two companies’ shared values, striving for excellence and dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience to clients.
With this new order, their valued relationship continues to flourish, and the acclaimed Challenger 3500 aircraft continues to elevate Airshare’s flight experience, providing the perfect blend of performance and comfort to its customers.
Airshare’s fractional program offers each owner of a 1/16th share 20 days and unlimited flight time, subject to a maximum 14-hour crew duty day.
By keeping the aircraft and crew with shareowners when they start and end their journey in the same location, they can enjoy significant cost savings of up to 25% off the hourly rate.
This arrangement provides unparalleled flexibility, allowing travelers to visit multiple destinations and adjust their schedules at their convenience.
Airshare also provides various services, including its jet card program called EMBARK, aircraft management, on-demand charter, and maintenance services.
The Challenger 3500 aircraft, built on the renowned Challenger super mid-size platform, offers outstanding comfort and reliability. It delivers top-notch performance and the signature smooth ride characteristic of Bombardier.
Notably, the Challenger 3500 aircraft stands as a leader in sustainability within its class. It is the first business jet in the super mid-size segment to publish an Environmental Product Declaration, transparently documenting its environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.
With an impressive track record of industry-leading reliability and safety, the Challenger aircraft family, including the Challenger 300 series, has garnered a reputation for excellence. The Challenger 3500 aircraft, with a remarkable 99.8% dispatch reliability, continues this legacy.
The agreement between Airshare and Bombardier entails a firm order for four Challenger 3500 aircraft and an option for an additional 16 Challenger 3500 business jets.
