The airline is introducing daily, year-round service between Los Angeles (LAS) and Guatemala City, Guatemala (GAU) – a thrilling addition to its ever-growing roster.
Additionally, Alaska Airlines is launching new flights from San Diego and Chicago O’Hare to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, a sought-after resort destination along Mexico’s Pacific Coast.

Alaska Airlines Los Angeles to Guatemala
Alaska Airlines’ network from its hub in Los Angeles is unmatched, offering the highest number of flights to the most destinations across Latin America among all carriers.
This winter, the airline will operate up to 18 daily nonstop flights to 12 cities in the region. Further solidifying its position as a preferred choice for travelers.
Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning for Alaska Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the airline’s growth and expansion.

The addition of Saturday nonstop flights to Zihuatanejo from San Diego and Chicago complements the existing service from Los Angeles and San Francisco. Subsequently, providing passengers with increased flexibility when planning their winter vacations.

Francis Argueta, director general of civil aeronautics of Guatemala, eagerly anticipates Alaska Airlines’ inaugural flight to the country in December.

Alaska Airlines’ service to Guatemala City marks a notable addition to its international destinations.
The airline already offers flights from Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle (SEA) to neighboring Belize and serves the airports in San Jose and Liberia in Costa Rica.
Starting this December, the airline will operate flights from its West Coast gateways to Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala, and the Bahamas.
The recently announced seasonal routes from LAX and SEA to Nassau, with service commencing on December 15. Further, reinforce Alaska Airlines’ commitment to expanding its presence in the region.

With the introduction of a new service to Zihuatanejo, Alaska Airlines will provide Southern California travelers with four peak-day nonstop flights to Mexico from San Diego.
