MUMBAI- TATA SIA joint venture FSC Vistara (UK) Airlines, which recently took the delivery of the 10th and Final A321neo from AerCap, has entered into service today, 27 May 2023.
The final Airbus A321neo bears the registration VT-TVJ. Further, it is probably the last new aircraft that Vistara has taken before its merger with Air India (AI) in 2024.
It took delivery of the First A321neo back on July 24, 2020. The aircraft features India’s most advanced aircraft cabin with fully flat beds in Vistara’s business class.
Vistara 10th A321neo
According to Flight Radar 24, the Vistara took the delivery of the final A321neo on May 23. Further, the plane took off from Hamburg (XFW) at 2:28 PM and landed at Delhi (DEL) at 10:43 PM (All times are in UTC).
Subsequently, it took VT-TVJ almost eight hours to complete the 6,027 Km between XFW and DEL.
The Vistara now has a fleet of 61 aircraft, including 46 A320neos and 10 A321neos. The airline will also take the delivery of the remaining three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Vistara also operates India’s youngest fleet if we exclude Akasa Air (QP). QP is yet to complete the fleet of 20 aircraft needed to start international operations.
First Commercial Flight
On May 27, 2023, the final A321neo VT-TVJ entered into commercial service. Vistara deployed the new aircraft in Delhi-Goa Sector.
Vistara operated the first commercial flight from Delhi Airport (DEL), which took off at 11:49 AM. After being airborne for more than two hours and covering a distance of approximately 1500 kilometers, it landed at Goa International Airport (GOI) in Dabolim.
Further, Vistara has so far completed the two flights, and the aircraft is currently airborne for its third flight of the day. Subsequently, the airline has deployed VT-TVJ for flights UK847, UK848, UK555, and more.
